Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Part-time LCSW

Position Description:

Nurses for Newborns of Tennessee is seeking the right individual who can independently and, in collaboration with a Registered Nurse, provide comprehensive clinical social work services to pre-natal, post-partum, and newborn clients and their families within our home care model. The primary focus of this position is counseling within the home or virtually as safety precautions dictate. You will be following the NASW Code of Ethics in planning care, assessing client needs, providing therapy and in determining, and utilizing screening tools. You will also connect clients with appropriate community resources and actively maintain relationships with these agencies to enhance collaborative efforts that benefit NFN clients. You will be working with hospitals, clinics, physician offices, and community agencies to provide comprehensive client care.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work from a CSWE accredited Social Work program or related field
  • Current Tennessee Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience delivering in-home services or 1-year clinical behavioral health experience providing direct services to high-risk patients
  • Knowledge of human behavior, child development, and evidence-based practices for low- income populations
  • Ability to effectively communicate with multi-disciplinary teams and provide leadership in representing clinical social work perspective/liaison with patient and family
  • Strong self-motivation, organization, and planning skills
  • Must have a reliable vehicle and current auto insurance
  • Moderate data entry and computer literacy skills
  • Flexibility in scheduling appointments and ability to work with diverse populations


Bilingual in English and either Spanish or Arabic is a plus but not necessary!
