Position Description:

Nurses for Newborns is seeking a growth-oriented, mission-driven Chief Executive Officer to build
on an excellent foundation, deepen NFN's impact, and lead the agency into its next chapter.

For 35 years, Nurses for Newborns has helped babies and families get the healthiest, safest start
possible. Today, NFN's registered nurses, community health workers, and social workers provide
free, voluntary, in-home services to families across Missouri and Tennessee. The CEO will be the
face of the organization and the steward of its mission, setting vision and strategy while building
trust with staff, Board members, donors, and community partners.

Key duties include:

Grow programs and financial resources to meet rising demand for services.

Serve as NFN’s primary public voice and build partnerships with hospitals, health systems,

government agencies, donors, and community organizations.

Lead and support high-performing teams across Missouri and Tennessee while strengthening culture, communication, and quality of care.

Provide strong financial and organizational oversight, lead fundraising and donor cultivation, and work closely with the Board of Directors and Advisory Boards on strategy and long-term sustainability.

The strongest candidates will bring a genuine passion for NFN’s mission, strategic thinking, collaborative leadership, experience with distributed teams and community partnerships, successful fundraising, and strong nonprofit financial acumen.

This position is headquartered in St. Louis, with travel to Nashville approximately 4-6 times per year.
