Who We Are: Nurses for Newborns is a locally recognized nonprofit organization that provides home-based services to promote the health, safety, and well-being of babies and their families. Our vision is that all families thrive and every baby realizes their full potential. Located in the states of MO and TN we provide over 10,000 visits annually to support babies and their caregivers.

The HR Manager works closely with our leadership team to foster a positive culture where employees feel valued and engaged in our mission.

Qualifications:

Key Duties Include:

  • Collaborating with hiring managers to recruit and hire staff
  • Onboarding new employees to get them off to a great start at NFN
  • Assessing employee needs and working with managers to ensure employee general training and development is carried out
  • Working with leadership to select employee benefits and manage open enrollment annually
  • Managing the employee performance appraisal process and ensuring proper documentation for HR files.
  • Providing policy and procedure guidance to employees and management and responding to HR related inquiries.
  • Conducting employee exit interviews with departing employees and reporting on recommendations for improvement.

Specifications and Core Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field, HR certification a plus
  • 2+ years of HR experience including experience with HRIS systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Collaborative mindset to seek consensus around mutual goals and values that reflect a team approach
  • Strong emphasis on discretion, professionalism and integrity is a requirement. The HR Manager will handle sensitive issues with care and confidentiality.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate performance and results and recommend and/or implement solutions.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • High interest in continuous learning and improvement
